TIDAL CITY
100 YEAR CITY PROJECT
The Malaysia 100 Year City Exhibition asks the question, what will our cities be like 100 years from now? Our site was located across the Puteri Harbor from Singapore on the site of the newly developed satellite city
Medini Iskandar, Malaysia. Tidal City is a responce to a series of intensive studies of climactic factors which face the environment such as the carbon footprint of urban dwellers, population growth, food shortages, and intense monsoon seasons. The zoning envelopes have the capacity to hold the hundered year growth of
singapors suburbs, and the nature preserve running through the city serves to both provide urbanites an
equitqble acess to green space. as well as to help preserve vaulable tropical forest. This project was one
selected as the University of Texas submission to the Malaysian Biennale exhibit.
